Here at Drosinski Dental we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, in a comfortable, caring environment with compassion and understanding. Our experienced team uses the latest technology and training to provide a lifetime of smiles to you and your family.

About Us

Drosinski Dental was founded by Dr. Joellen Drosinski in 2016, when she purchased the practice, at 1439 Wyoming Avenue, from Dr. Howard Wimmer. This practice has a long history of providing exceptional dental care with a compassion and enthusiasm for restoring dental health in a comfortable environment since 1988.

Joellen Drosinski, DDS

Dr. Drosinski is a 1994 graduate of West Scranton Junior High School. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 1999. Her dental education was completed at Howard University College of Dentistry.

Dr. Drosinski is an active member of the Academy of General Dentists, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Scranton District Dental Society. She believes strongly in continuing her training and education through these organizations, to provide her patients with the newest and most advanced techniques in dentistry.

Dr. Joellen Drosinski resides in Moscow, with her husband, Rick, their son, Anthony, and their daughter, Mira. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her children and family.

Elise Castanzo, RDH

Elise Castanzo, RDH

Elise has 12 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist. She is a graduate of Scranton High School and continued her education at Luzerne County Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Upon graduation, she relocated to Philadelphia for 8 years and then Denver, CO for 2 years before moving back to the Scranton area to be closer to her family.

She resides in South Scranton and enjoys bike riding on the Heritage Trail and spending time with her niece, Lainey.

Diana Hepburn, RDH

Diana graduated from Sacred Heart high school in Carbondale, Pa. She worked as a medical secretary and attended Luzerne County Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in applied science. Her passion for helping people has led to more than 20 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist.

Diana enjoys taking walks at Lake Scranton and Nay Aug Park, and practicing yoga. She also enjoys photography, nature, and spending time off with her husband, friends and family. On occasion, you might catch Diana working in the wardrobe department as a dresser for the next touring Broadway show at the Scranton Cultural Center!

Christine Ayres, DA

Christine Ayres, DA

Chris has been in the dental field for 29 years. She began her dental career as a Dental Lab Tech before she grew into her role as an exceptional Dental Assistant. Chris enjoys every minute of her profession and is passionate about keeping up on all the latest in dental trends.

She grew up in Scott Township, then left the area where she lived in Las Vegas with her 2 beautiful daughters and granddaughter. Chris recently moved back to Newton Ransom with her boyfriend and his 4 crazy daughters.

When she is not working, she enjoy every day for what it is and live life to the fullest with a laugh and spirit that is as bright as her smile.

Taira Tonkin

Dental Assistant

Taira has been in the dental field for 10 years. She began her education at Fortis Institute where she graduated with her Dental Hygiene degree. While attending school she began her journey as a Dental Assistant and had more passion in assisting and helping patients love their smiles.

Taira grew up in Carbondale then moved to Clifford Twp with her husband, Justin and their son, Greyson. When she is not working, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Amanda O'Boyle

Patient Coordinator

Amanda is new to dentistry, but not to customer service. She worked in retail for twenty years before making this recent career change. She enjoys working with people and building friendly relationships with patients and co-workers.  She went to the University of Scranton for Early Childhood Education and has a passion for working with our littlest patients.

Amanda is a Scranton native, but currently lives in Old Forge with her husband and their two children. She enjoys reading and doing crafts in her spare time, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Rick Drosinski

Practice Administrator

Rick graduated from Dunmore High School and earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Johnson College. He resides in Moscow with his wife, Dr. Joellen and their two children, Anthony and Mira. He enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, running, golf and spending time with family and friends.
